Peter Lester was a well-known bridge player. He won the Tollemache in 1968 and the Robert Provost Cup at the Spring Foursomes in 1974 & 1975. He also played in the Gold Cup (1974).
Peter gave up bridge in the 70s and returned in the early 2010s where he had one last hurrah, winning Crockfords Cup in 2013 when his team won the split tie for first place. Winners Paul Hackett, Tom Hanlon, Peter Lester, Hugh McGann & Ian Panto, 2nd place Nick Irens, Espen Erichsen, Tom Townsend, Zia Mahmood, David Bakhshi.
Peter was happily married to Irene for many years and was the father of Aishleen & Sinead.
