Under 26 Coach Michael Byrne has written a final update following the team's progress in Veldhoven at the World Youth Championships:
Thank you to those of you that joined us on our journey here at the World Championships.
We finished the event by qualifying for the final and coming about halfway in the World Transnational teams Championship, a reasonable reflection of our bridge.
In the final event the Netherlands beat Singapore to win another gold medal and leave us envious of their fine track record.
I would like to pay tribute to my team who tried their utmost even when circumstances were difficult, and didn't give up. I am sure we will be back again in two years time with more experience and a better chance of success.
