James Thrower, 27 was born and raised in Harrogate. He was fortunate, along with a few others to have been taught bridge by Cedric Cockroft when in his teens and hasn't looked back since.
After working in the betting industry for the past 8 years, James has decided to focus on his bridge and will be moving down to London to play professionally. If you do see him at a London duplicate, please take the time to say hello, as he doesn't know too many people there!
He has represented England many times at junior level, and in the Mixed Teams at the 2016 World Bridge Games, and has won various domestic tournaments including the 2015 National Pairs.
Away from the bridge table, James enjoys socialising with friends, horseracing and watching TV box sets (Game of Thrones being his favourite!)
