The Spring Bank Holiday Congress was held this weekend, in Reading. This was the first Spring Bank Holiday Congress run face-to-face since 2019.
David Gold & Catherine Seale (pictured) won the Two-Star Pairs. In second place were Paul Barden & Claire Robinson, with Simon Cope & Diana Nettleton in third place.
The Swiss Teams was won by the team of Simon Cope, Diana Nettleton, Andrew McIntosh & Sara Moran (picture) with a final score of 99 VPs. In second place were Simon Hult, Gunnar Hallberg, Tracy Sherman & Stefan Lindfors with a score of 92 VPs.
The Swiss Pairs was won by Simon Hult & Gunnar Hallberg (picture), with a score of 112 VPs. Just behind, in second place were Mike Bell & Sally Young, with a total of 110 VPs.
In the Jack High Swiss Pairs, Billie MacCarthy & Sara Chiappara (picture) finished in first place with a total of 88 VPs. In a very close join second place were Paul Spencer & Ian Sidgwick and Alan Oliver & Sue Oliver.
Meanwhile, the online 9-High Improvers Pairs, was won by Bernadette Mathias & Colin Seabridge, with Marcia Scane & Robert Scane taking second place.
