Team Orca wins Spring Foursomes

Team Orca of Alexander Allfrey, Simon Cope, Peter Crouch, Espen Erichsen, Richard Plackett & Andrew Robson, won the Spring Foursomes. The team are pictured receiving the trophy at the venue.

The Orca team faced the Hauge team (Stian Evenstad, Rune Hauge, Nicolai Heiberg-Evenstad & Dan McIntosh) in the final. The Hauge team were undefeated until the final. This is the second year in a row that the event has been won by Alexander Allfrey, Peter Crouch, Espen Erichsen, Richard Plackett & Andrew Robson.

The defeated semi-finalists were the Penfold and Mossop teams.

The Punchbowl, the secondary knockout event, was won by the team of Catherine Draper, Ian Pagan, Catherine Seale & Andrew Woodcock (picture). They beat the Duursma team in the final. 

The winners of the Hamilton Cup, the Swiss Teams on Monday, were the team of Paul Gruenke, Phil King, Matt Brown, Sarah Bell & Mike Bell (picture), finishing with a total score of 88 VPs 

The event is part of the Player of the Year Championships. The win for the Orca team puts them at the top of the table, with two of the team now in joint 1st, Simon Cope and Peter Crouch.
