John Wilcox

Dimmie Fleming 2021 Award Citation (from Leicestershire):

John was first on the Committee in 1993. He has fulfilled many various functions including Chairman 2003-4 and 2011-13. He has been minute Secretary for 8 years in two separate spells.
He has been League Secretary since 2017. He had two years as Fixture Secretary in the 1990s and 10 years as a EBU shareholder.

Over the years he has probably been best known as a County TD.

That makes 26 years on the Committee and is well worth the Dimmie nomination.

Dick Pathan

Dimmie Fleming 2021 Award Citation (from Leicestershire):

Dick joined the Committee in 1978 directly as Secretary. Dick held this office for 7 years. He then had a break until 1996 when he re-joined and is still on the Committee (another 25 years).

During this period, he has been Chairman for two periods 1998-2000 and 2006-8 and has been running the County teams for the past 12 years but also organising teams for the National events such as the Tollemache and this year the Pachabo. Dick acts as a non playing Captain for events such as the Tollemache.

Lily Kearney

Lily first came across bridge aged 17 at her sixth form's bridge club, and has been hooked ever since. She played her first congress at West of England in 2019, and started training with the England Juniors shortly after. Her first international selection was for the team who won the Under 26 Women's Channel Trophy in December 2021.

She studies maths at Trinity College, Cambridge, where she has started rowing and playing quizbowl, and helped the university retain their title in the Varsity bridge match earlier this year.
