AGM
As a reminder to all Shareholders, the EBU AGM will be held on 29th November at the Royal National Hotel, London. The meeting starts at 1pm. Details of the Board and Standing Committee nominations.
Free Club Seminar: Don't miss your chance to quiz the Chief TD
On November 14th at 10.00am we will be running a free online seminar on the topic of directing club sessions. This is not a training session for new directors; rather it is a chance to discuss issues such as:
How to keep a session friendly
How to get help with a difficult ruling
Recent law changes from a club perspective
Common problems when directing and tips on how to solve them
We will have the Chief TD Gordon Rainsford in attendance. If there are subjects you would particularly like to discuss please let us know in advance so we can be sure to include them.

The EBU staff are always happy to answer questions from club and county officials and club members. To help you know who to contact we have written brief summaries of the topic areas that different staff can help with; this is just for some of the staff who deal with the most member queries, there is also the full staff list. If you still don’t know who to contact please contact Amanda on 01296 317200 who will be happy to direct your call.
Help please!
We have over 4,000 members for whom we do not know their email address. This means they cannot log into My EBU to see their master points or NGS, and we cannot contact them (often we lack the postal address of these members as well). We will be contacting each club shortly with a list of these members and encourage you to follow up with your members so we can fix this for them.

Test your knowledge of common situations facing a Club Director by taking EBED’s new club director training quiz.
This free quiz is ideal for those wanting to prepare for an assessment as part of the EBED’s club director training programme, or for existing directors wanting to refresh their knowledge.
Picture Competition
The EBU are looking for new and exciting images to promote the wonderful game of bridge. Can you or your members produce a photograph, painting or drawing that conveys the fun, drama and excitement of the game of bridge?
Please encourage your members to enter this competitions. The artist with the winning picture will win not only honour and prestige (and our gratitude) but also some cash towards their next camera lens, smartphone, or bridge congress!
