Cafe Bridge

A typical café bridge event is a duplicate pairs bridge game set up over multiple cafes and restaurants. Pairs move to a new venue after each round, guided by a movement card or roadbook, while board sets remain on their starting tables throughout. The registration fee typically covers vouchers which are valid for refreshments at the venues, either for a single lunch or for a drink at each stop, depending on the style of event.

Victor Lesk has been promoting and organising Café bridge for some years. Victor's website has loads of information to help plan your event and Victor can be reached at brianplaysbridge@gmail.com.

Where and when?
Choose a date and a suitable area for venues. You ideally want multiple venues close enough together that players can walk between them. You will need to talk with the venues to see if they are suitable and willing to host a table or tables.

Entries and movement
Movements for café bridge are different to normal movements because the boards are staying in the same venue throughout. You will need to have a cut off for entries so the movement can be worked out in advance. There is a link below with more details including information about movements.
