The Autumn overseas 2024 congress, will be held in Crete, October 2024, at the Kernos Beach Hotel. Bookings are now being taken by First for Bridge and members are advised to book as soon as possible. 8-day, 9-day and 10-day options are available.
The Green and Blue pointed EBU Overseas Congress in October 2024 will take place on the beautiful island of Crete. Our base, the 4-star Kernos Beach Hotel, boasts an idyllic location, overlooking its private, sandy beach and the sparkling blue Sea of Crete. Here, along the north coast of the island on the edge of Stalis, you are treated to the most amazing sunsets. Sunseekers can relax in the beautiful, extensive gardens and choose between a swim in its huge freshwater outdoor pool or a dip in the ocean.
The surrounding area is level with plenty of cafés, bars, shops, and tourist facilities within a short walking distance of your hotel. Previous bridge guests have loved the location and have highly rated the Kernos Beach Hotel for its dining and friendly and helpful staff.
Our included guided tour takes us to Knossos and the Minoan Palace which flourished for approximately two thousand years and beholds thrilling legends such as the myth of the Labyrinth, with the Minotaur, and the story of Daidalos and Ikaros. Afterwards, we drive to Heraklion City, the capital of Crete, where you have free time to explore in the city centre and enjoy its squares, pedestrian area, and shops. For those interested, there is a guided tour to the Archaeological Museum (extra charges apply), which is one of the oldest and most important museums in Greece, and amongst the most famous in Europe. It represents artefacts from all periods of Cretan prehistory and history spanning over 5,500 years from the Neolithic period to the Roman times, and prides itself for its unique Minoan collection.
