The EBU Winter Midweek Online Congress
- a mid-week bridge competition for everyone!
This new congress will be held online over three days in December. It takes the place of the previous Seniors Congress on RealBridge and is open to all EBU members.

The Championship Pairs is a two-day event – the qualifying stage on Tuesday, and the finals on Wednesday, each stage comprising two sessions. The top pairs from the qualifying stage play in the finals, and non-qualifiers play in the Swiss Pairs. There is no carry-forward from the qualifying stage to the finals.
The Swiss Pairs Championship is a two session event, with a total of seven 7-board matches and is open to pairs eliminated from the Championship Pairs at the end of Tuesday evening, and to players joining the congress on Wednesday.
The Swiss Teams comprises seven 7-board matches with a break after three matches.

Online Congress Prices
Competitions are an important way of raising the money necessary for the EBU's survival, and our pricing strategy for online events reflects this rather than the lower costs involved in running such events. Our intention is that this will continue for all our online congresses and major competitions - they will be cheaper than face-to-face equivalents but will still be priced to help support other aspects of the EBU's work.

Master Points
All events are fully Green Pointed, save for the qualifying rounds of the Pairs Championship (Blue points only, but all qualifiers are guaranteed a Green Point award in the finals).

Level 4 agreements are permitted in all events.
