National Pairs (final postponed)

Regional Heats: 15th March 2020, various club venues; Final:18th – 19th April 2020 Hilton Warwick/Stratford, CV34 6RE

Please note that due to the coronavirus pandemic, this event has been postponed

From 2016 the National Pairs had an updated structure without local heats and with an increased number of regional venues, open to all EBU members who wish to enter. Now we are going to extend this, to try to reduce entry fees and increase numbers of venues and players. Heats will take place at several clubs around the country and will be run by those clubs, promoted among their members as well as nationally. The National ranking list will be determined by scoring across the field.

As in the past, the competition will culminate in a National Final contested by the top 50 pairs nationally. In addition, regional trophies and prizes will be awarded to the winners of each of the five regions taking part, for which purpose each region will be scored separately to create a Regional ranking list.

The event is also part of the Championship Series, in which points can be earned towards the Player of the Year Championship.

To enter

Entry to a heat is made direct to the club in question.
