Event format

Friday and Saturday, Championship Pairs: The Championship Pairs is a ‘stratified’ event scored across the field. Each pair will play in five sessions of 18 boards, making a total of 90 boards: two sessions on Friday, with an early finish, and three on Saturday.  There will be short breaks between sessions 1 & 2 and between sessions 4 & 5. See below for the session times.

Prizes and Master Points awarded in three categories: below Premier Regional Master, below Premier Life Master & Open.

The Championships Pairs is part of the new Pairs Player of the Year Championship.

Sunday, Swiss Pairs: The Swiss Pairs is a two session event on Sunday, open to all with seven 7-board matches.

Monday, Swiss Teams: The Swiss Teams on Monday is a two-session event with seven 7-board matches in all. The event is now also a stratified event.

Improvers Pairs Online: The Nine-High Improvers Pairs will be held on BBO and run by Kent CBA. It will be open to players who are NGS 9 & below on Monday 6th April. This event is aimed at club players who are interested in taking the first steps into congress bridge but who may have found it daunting to jump straight into a major congress event.

The format will be two 18 board sessions with a break between the sessions. Players can play in either or both sessions. 10% of entry fees will be given as prizes in BBO$. Enter with Kent CBA here.
